John Parker – President

John Parker is a third-generation earthmover whose family roots in excavation run as deep as the projects he’s built his career on. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, John began his professional life in homebuilding before stepping into leadership at Longhorn Excavators in 1998, taking the helm of a company that was already part of his family’s legacy.

John has since guided Longhorn in its growth from regional origins into a nationwide operation, delivering over $1 billion in completed work. His vision from the outset was expansive: to establish Longhorn as a full-service excavation and civil contractor capable of competing across all major services, from landfill cell construction, golf course development, energy site preparation, and environmental mitigation, to commercial and residential development. That vision has defined Longhorn’s trajectory for more than two decades, and John’s steady hand has made it a reality.
